We strive for excellence in everything we do. Our activities embrace scientific and technical software, consulting services, educational outreach, and our own scientific research.
Our main interests comprise:
- Magnetic Resonance (software, hardware, and methods) in all its forms:
- Spectroscopy (NMR) in-vitro and in-vivo
- Relaxometry (MRR) in fixed as well as variable fields
- Imaging (MRI)
- Scientific computing algorithms and principles

ABOUT our Company
In its current form, established in January 2018, Extra Byte Snc
builds on two decades of a one-man venture with the same name (except for the 'Snc'), best known in the web-space under the nickname Stan's Hub
. We will continue that rich heredity and expand it further to the enhanced benefit of all our Partners, Customers and website Visitors.
Extra Byte is registered in Italy but operates and offers its services world-wide.
Extra Byte PRODUCTS
Our main products are FREE of any charge/registration. They include:
A large volume of databases, papers, talk slides, and educational tools.
Please, browse the links in the right column, and have a look at the bottom of this page.
We manage the Stan's Library (ISSN 2421-1230), an open-access online e-zine with the pretention to become a STEM magazine. So far Stan's Library was carrying mostly Stan's own articles, posters and talks, but we are planning to open it up for other contributors. You will hear more about it soon.
Contractual third party collaborations:
We develop technical & scientific software for third parties on a contractual basis (see the PARNERS section below). These may be Libraries as well as Applications, written in C++ (but other languages might be also considered).
We might consider signing additional contracts, provided that they do not conflict with the existing ones, and that they can be planned on a reasonably long-term scale. Since we are presently running up to full capacity, we can accept only large commitments justifying incerementing the Company size.
Technical and scientific services:
Consulting in all areas of Magnetic Resonance (NMR, MRI, ESR, NQR). Since we have over 50 years of experience, including design, production, sales, installation, and use of instruments, we can help you with any problem you might have, and we will do it willingly, to the best of our knowledge. You pay only if and when satisfied!
Expertize in legal litigations involving Magnetic Resonance. This may involve safety aspects of an installation or procedure, or else an instrument or a scanner not performing up to specifications/expectations.
Consulting on geothermal reservoirs software (T2Well, TOUGH2).
We passionately love solving applied math problems. If you have one, let us have a GO on it. Should we fail, we would tell you why and not charge you anything (yes, we know that unsolvable problems exist).
Products sold directly to end-users:
We start offering a limited amount of advertizing estate for targeted banners on most of our open-access resource pages. We are still working out the details, but should you be interested, do not hesitate to drop us a note.
More will be coming: keep tracking this Section!
Apologies to the collaborators left out for the moment.
This Section is still UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
We collaborate very closely on a number of evolving tasks related to the MNOVA
focusing on the evaluation and simulation of NMR spectra and relaxometry data
(several number-crunching DLL's used by Mnova).
The rest of this Section is UNDER CONSTRUCTION

10 Feb 2018:
Eliminated from the webspace all references to the old, individual Extra Byte venture, while maintaining the Stan's Hub
website and the ebyte.it
domain with its rich, open-access contents and resources.
1 Feb 2018:
Extra Byte Snc
has become the official owner and Publisher of Stan's Library
(ISSN 2421-1230). The President/Chief Editor of the open-access e-zine
is Stanislav Sykora
(Stan's Library founder). Ester Maria Vasini
was named its Executive Director.
31 Jan 2018:
Extra Byte Snc
is now the owner of the web domains ebyte.it
The former domain is the home of the historic Stan's Hub
which will continue.
The latter domain so far just redirects to Stan's Hub, but it will acquire new contents.
18 Jan 2018:
Started this website (it is still under construction, but already full of resources).
16 Jan 2018:
Extra Byte Snc di Sykora Stanislav e Vasini Ester Maria was constituted
as an Unlimited Company (snc) and registered at the Italian Camera di Commercio.
